MOZA HMA150 Haptic Motion System 4 Actuators
The MOZA HMA150 Haptic Motion System contains four actuators and the components required to build a four-actuator motion platform. It recreates pitch, roll and heave for racing and flight simulation. The current official product page specifies up to 150 mm of travel, 300 mm/s movement, more than 1G acceleration and vibration up to 200 Hz. MOZA Motion Manager and AI Motion provide configurable feedback, including support for selected titles without native telemetry.

Motion performance
Four-actuator 3DOF platform
The standard system uses four actuators to create pitch, roll and heave. These movements reproduce acceleration and braking pitch, cornering roll and vertical movement from kerbs, bumps or elevation changes. Each actuator provides up to 150 mm of stroke and movement speeds up to 300 mm/s.
Payload-dependent acceleration
MOZA's technical launch information states that the actuator system can deliver approximately 1G acceleration at a 250 kg payload and approximately 0.45G at 350 kg. The total moving load includes the cockpit, seat, driver and all installed hardware. The available movement and acceleration therefore depend on the complete rig, not only the driver's weight.
High-frequency haptic vibration
The current product page specifies vibration up to 200 Hz. This haptic layer can add smaller effects such as engine vibration, road texture, impacts and kerb detail over the larger platform movements. An earlier launch article stated 150 Hz; the current product page has been treated as the operational source for this update.
Processor, encoder and response
A 600 MHz high-performance processor manages the calculations, while a 21-bit magnetic encoder provides more than two million resolution steps for precise actuator positioning. MOZA describes the response as ultra-low latency in its technical launch material. The system is intended to keep the motion closely synchronised with the simulator.
Motor, ball screw and integrated electronics
The actuator uses MOZA-developed servo technology and a precision ball-screw drive to convert motor rotation into linear movement. The construction uses high-strength aluminium alloy. Control electronics are integrated into the motion hardware, and the internal architecture operates from a 48 V low-voltage DC system.
MOZA Motion Manager and AI Motion
MOZA Motion Manager is used for motion profiles, platform tuning and haptic effects. For games with suitable telemetry, the software converts vehicle or aircraft data into coordinated movement. AI Motion is intended for selected titles without native telemetry by analysing available visual and audio cues. Compatibility and the available effects depend on the current software version and the selected game.
Installation requirements
The HMA150 requires a rigid cockpit, suitable actuator mounting points, sufficient floor and vertical clearance and safe cable routing throughout the full movement range. A lightweight folding rig is not appropriate for this class of motion system. The separately sold HMA Profile Adapter Kit may be required for particular aluminium-profile cockpits.
Compatibility and installation requirements
Platforms: Racing and flight simulation on PC through MOZA Motion Manager.
Cockpit: A rigid aluminium-profile or heavily constructed steel cockpit capable of carrying the complete moving mass.
Space: Allow clearance for the full 150 mm stroke, driver movement, cables and surrounding equipment.
Optional mounting hardware: The HMA Profile Adapter Kit is sold separately and may be required for the selected cockpit.
