Wheel base
The MOZA R9 V3 Direct Drive Wheel Base uses a high-performance 18-slot / 16-pole servo motor with 9 Nm peak torque and 180 W peak power. A 21-bit magnetic encoder provides 2,097,152 steps per revolution and the USB connection operates at 1000 Hz. MOZA specifies intelligent temperature monitoring with active cooling for the V3. The aviation-grade aluminum housing supports steering angles from 90° to 2700°, and the rear connections cover power, pedals, emergency stop, USB, dashboard, shifter and handbrake.
Steering wheel
The MOZA Racing KS Steering Wheel uses a 300 mm standard GT format with a butterfly shape, carbon-fiber-reinforced composite body and TPE rubber grips. Ten RGB short-travel buttons sit alongside two depressible joysticks, two thumb encoders and three rotary encoders. Two magnetic shifter paddles and two clutch paddles use Hall sensors, and the clutch can be configured as combined axis, independent axis or button inputs. Ten high-brightness LEDs provide configurable telemetry. The MOZA Quick Release and conductive slip ring carry the wheel connection to the base.
Mounting and included hardware
The R9 V3 uses a four-hole bottom mount as standard and MOZA also lists optional side mounting and a table clamp. The bundle includes the R9 V3 base and KS wheel, plus the power supply, USB cable, toolkit, documentation and warranty card associated with the base package. A cockpit or desk clamp, pedals, shifter, handbrake and emergency-stop switch are optional and are not included.
Software and configuration
MOZA Pit House manages force-feedback strength, profiles, steering range and firmware for the R9 V3. For the KS, the same software handles input mapping, RGB button colours, RPM LEDs, dual-clutch behaviour and telemetry functions. Keeping both devices inside one configuration environment makes it easier to save settings for different cars and racing disciplines.
Upgrade options
The R9 V3 includes dedicated ports for compatible MOZA pedals, dashboard, shifter, handbrake and an optional emergency stop. The KS can also be used with other compatible MOZA bases. Those additions are separate products; this bundle contains the R9 V3 and KS combination only.
