Description
Heusinkveld Sprint pedals Throttle, Brake, and Clutch (load-Cell)
Every tenth of a second counts! If you’re looking for pedals that help you be fast and consistent, look no further. Years of experience and completely new test methods have been used in the development of this innovative top simulator product: the Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Sprint.
The Sim Pedals Sprint is a strong, compact, and highly customizable design with key parts made from CNC precision laser-cut steel, intended for your home simulator. Mathematical models have been created to accurately calculate pedal stroke and force curves, predicting how each pedal will behave in different configurations. All metal profiles have either a RAL7016 anthracite grey powder coating with a fine structure or a pearl-blasted semi-gloss metallic look.
The pedals feature all new bearing and pivot concepts to minimize unnecessary play. Automated test routines have been used to simulate up to 1 million operating cycles. Durable load cells measure throttle and clutch position and the force applied to the brake. Unlike rotary potentiometer designs, load cells provide true linear output relative to your pedal output. They are impervious to dust and dirt and do not wear out, resulting in unparalleled accuracy and long-term durability.
Custom-engineered and EMC-tested electronics ensure that every pedal responds instantly and accurately in your favorite simulator software. With the included SmartControl software, dead zones and braking power can be easily configured, and (non-linear) pedal output curves can be adjusted.
Throttle pedal
Smooth, precise and highly adjustable, the throttle pedal gives you excellent control over any race car. With five pedal stroke settings, adjustable pedal force curve, spring preload, pedal angle, and pedal height, you can set the throttle exactly to your liking. The graphs below show the effect of the force curve (left) and the preload adjustments (right).
Brake pedal
The two-stage braking system consists of an adjustable initial coil spring, simulating the gap between pad and disc, and progressive rubber springs. The strength of the pedal is adjusted by choosing from 6 different stack heights of rubber. The pedal angle and pedal height can also be adjusted. A 120 kg load cell measures up to 65 kg (143 lbs) of maximum actual braking force, making this brake pedal suitable for both sim racers who like to apply a lot of force when braking, as well as racers who prefer much lower operating forces. The graphs below show to see the effect of the force curve adjustment.
Clutch
The clutch features a regressive spring mechanism to simulate a typical concave clutch curve. Furthermore, the clutch has three pedal force curve settings, adjustable spring preload, pedal angle and pedal height. The graphs below show the effect of the force curve (left) and the preload adjustments (right).
Electronics
The all-new electronics are integrated into the brake pedal. This ensures a clean setup with a minimum of cable clutter. The controller card has been given a conformal coating to protect it from moisture and dust. The product has been tested to comply with all applicable European EMC standards and regulations.
