Our Story

The journey of BDH Race Sim Hardware began during the COVID-19 lockdown, when founder Dave—an avid sim racer and motorsport enthusiast—was challenged by a friend to create a high-quality shifter. Drawing on his background with rally cars, he set out to engineer a shifter that would mimic the unmistakable feel of a short-throw, close-ratio dog box found in a Ford Escort rally car.

What started as a personal project quickly evolved into the first “Bazooka” shifter—setting the foundation for the BDH product line and inspiring a growing community of racers seeking authentic hardware.
