Qubic System QS-BT1: dual-channel direct-drive seat belt tensioner for sim racing and flight simulation.

The QS-BT1 uses two independent channels to vary tension across the left and right shoulder straps. It adds physical feedback for braking, cornering, wheel lock and traction loss, with up to 200 N of pulling force per channel. Use it as a standalone PC accessory or combine it with a compatible motion platform for a more complete simulator setup.

Compatibility

Platform and software: USB connection to a Windows PC using Qubic Manager/ForceSeatPM. Confirm support for your specific game and its telemetry effects. PlayStation and Xbox support is not specified for this device.

Motion and cockpit combinations: use the QS-BT1 on its own or with a compatible motion platform such as the Qubic System QS-220-PL. It is also compatible with Motion Systems-based QS, PS and HS platforms. For a Next Level Racing Motion Platform V3 setup, see the dedicated QS-BT1 installation kit; mounting requirements vary by cockpit and platform.

Harness fit: seat belts and a suitable seat are required and sold separately. For racing, the shoulder-belt slots should align near shoulder height and the straps should not pull against the neck. Check the seat and mounting position before use. On seat movers, follow Qubic's specified top-frame position close to the pivot and account for the QS-BT1's weight in the moving payload.

Technical details: two independent channels; up to 200 N pull per channel; USB interface; 0–100 Hz vibration range; maximum USB cable length 3 m. Qubic's March 2026 product card lists 480 W rated power, 13 kg device weight and dimensions of 561 × 138 × 96 mm.

Frequently asked questions

Does the QS-BT1 need a motion platform?

No. It can operate as a standalone PC belt tensioner. A compatible motion platform can add sensations such as forward acceleration that a belt tensioner alone does not fully reproduce.

Are the seat belts included?

No. The package includes the QS-BT1, power and USB connections, mounting hardware and belt attachments, but the harness, cockpit and seat are separate.

Can I combine the QS-BT1 with the QS-220?

Yes. Qubic lists the QS-BT1 as compatible with its QS motion platforms, including the QS-220. Check mounting space and moving payload for your particular cockpit.

Will it fit a Next Level Racing Motion Platform V3?

Qubic lists compatibility with the Motion Platform V3, but a dedicated installation kit and the correct mounting position are needed. Verify the exact cockpit and platform arrangement before ordering.

Does it need calibration at every startup?

No. Qubic states that the QS-BT1 uses force control and does not require calibration each time it starts.

In een woord FANTASTISCH!!

Wil je met het sim racen naar the next level! QS-BT1 aanschaffen. Het kost wat maar dan heb je ook wat. In het begin is het even wennen, het staat standaard iets te krachtig ingesteld. Maar na het spelen met de instellingen is het echt fantastisch. Als je het combineert met bass shakers wordt het alleen maar beter. Over de kwaliteit ga ik het niet hebben want die is top.
Bestelling was met een dag binnen en dat was een plus.

Very good device but no Simhub integration

The device is fine, installation instructions are okay too, the whole belt tensioning system works very well, I love it!

However I regret that there is no software integration into Simhub.

My current setup is a motion system from another supplier, this Qubic device and stuff from Conspit, Mozza, VNM, etc.

Both the other mother system and Qubic require to use their own proprietary software, so each time a sim is launched I have to fiddle with Simhub, Qubic, etc.

With my 57" screen, this means displaying windows here and there, looking for the mouse pointer which is never where you expect it, and if you need to run diagnostics, the window appears exactly where you don't want it...

That is why I didn't put 4 stars.

I guess that nearly nobody buys the whole stuff from a single manufacturer so please contribute to the simplification of the user experience.

Haven,t figured out my prefered settings yet, gonna take some tweaking but in general its very immersive and haven,t regret a single moment buying it.
Together with my slip-angle shakersset it feels so real.

Superbe produit, facile à installer sur un chassis alu. Le logiciel est vraiment très bien réalisé, une fois bien réglé c'est complémentaire à mes 4 vérins. Difficile de s'en passer une fois que l'on y a gouté.

Amazing stuff

It's an amazing feeling to drive a Formula 1 car and feel the pressure on one side of your body and then move to the other side. That's what I like a lot. When braking, the feeling is good too. I tuned my QS-BT1 with the help of an elastic band. The controlling software (QubicManager) is ok, but the interface still needs improvement, Motion adjustment is possible using a mobile device, but tuning controls require finger precision measured in micrometers...
