The MOZA R12 V2 is a compact direct-drive wheel base for stronger, more detailed force feedback. MOZA Pit House handles configuration on Windows PC; Xbox use requires the licensed MOZA ESX Steering Wheel. Its high-performance slanted-pole servo motor, carbon-fibre-wrapped rotor and NexGen 4.0 force-feedback algorithm are designed to reproduce steering load, tyre behaviour and surface detail with controlled response. The aviation-grade aluminium housing keeps the motor and electronics in a rigid enclosure, while the integrated design retains MOZA's standard four-hole bottom mounting pattern.

Direct drive construction and control
The R12 V2 delivers up to 12 Nm of peak torque directly from the motor shaft. Its encoder provides 2,097,152 positions per revolution, supporting small steering corrections and smooth transitions between lighter and heavier forces. Intelligent temperature control monitors the base during longer sessions. The carbon-fibre-wrapped rotor is used to reduce eddy-current losses and improve thermal efficiency, helping the base maintain consistent behaviour under sustained load.
Mounting and connections
The base uses four threaded mounting points on the underside for a compatible cockpit, wheel stand or mounting plate. A desktop clamp is optional and is not included. Rear connections are provided for power, USB, pedals, dashboard, shifter, handbrake and an optional emergency-stop switch. Steering rotation can be configured between 90 and 2700 degrees through the supported software.
Software and ecosystem
MOZA Pit House is used on Windows PC for calibration, steering-angle adjustment, force-feedback settings, profiles and firmware management. The base supports MOZA's quick-release system and compatible MOZA steering wheels. A steering wheel, pedals, mounting hardware for a specific rig, desktop clamp and emergency-stop switch are not part of the standard package.
Compatibility

Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One require the licensed MOZA ESX Steering Wheel. Without the ESX wheel, the R12 is PC-only. PlayStation is not supported.
