Formula seating and adjustment

The cockpit uses a fixed Formula architecture rather than a foldable seat. Playseat specifies dimensions of 150 × 60 × 87 cm, a product weight of 23 kg and a driver-height range of 120–220 cm. The X-Adapt quick-release system supports steering-wheel positioning, while the pedal mount can be adjusted for angle, height and length.

Direct Drive advice

Sim Race Webshop includes the Formula Instinct among its recommended Direct Drive cockpit options. Playseat does not publish a maximum Direct Drive torque in Nm for this model. Customers who require manufacturer-confirmed Direct Drive positioning in a foldable Formula cockpit can also consider the Playseat Challenge DD – F1 Edition.

Important compatibility limits

The Formula Instinct is designed around an F1-style control layout. Playseat confirms that a separate gear shifter cannot be attached to this cockpit. The installed wheelbase and pedals must therefore suit the integrated wheel and pedal mounting systems.
